Silver Fiesta 1.6
This fezz was dropped off with me nice and early on Sunday morns!!!
The car was really dirty all round, plenty road grime, mud, bugs and brake dust all over!!! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() So i started off by spraying a generous amount of APC all over the car, included in the really dirty wheel arches.... i let that soak in well to try losen up all the grime on the car!!! While it was soaking i started on the wheels!!! Sonax Extreme applied!!! Also gave the arches a good scrub with the "toilet brush"...... ![]() ![]() Then got to work on the badges, they needed a clean as plenty dirt was lodged in there!!! ![]() I then washed the car with a diluted solution of APC to remove all the grime!! Once that was done i started the hardest part, CLAYING!!!! it took an age as the car had built up a fare amount of contamination in the 4 years since it was purchased!!! ![]() ![]() ![]() I then pulled it into the garage to inspect the Paintwork!!! Lights where dull and swirled!!! ![]() Sorted out nicely with some Megs UC on a White Polishing Pad... :smtp25 ![]() The Paintwork was actually in farely good condition, there where a few fine scratches and some marring, but nothing serious... ![]() ![]() Corrected using a combination of Megs UC and CG No.2 on an orange hex logic pad.... :smtp25 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Once the correcting was completed i gave it a coat of AG SRP by hand then polished it off with a black finishing pad!! I then gave the car a final wash using the two bucket method and dried it nicely!!! ![]() ![]() ![]() I then finished it off by giving it a coat of Sonax Extreme Paste Wax. Also finished the black trim, wheels and inside of the car!!! Arches where given a coating of Bare bones to make it nice and black again!!! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() The owner then took some more pics of the car in a better location!!! Hope you can all see these? ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Wow nice work there Wayno, good solid effort put into that Car. silver cars arent always that easy to show off. Those last pics in the underground parking really show the car and work off nicely. Great stuff.

RE: Silver Fiesta 1.6
Fantastic turnaround!
![]() Did the Megs UC and CG no.2 not give you a completely scratch/swirl free surface? "Once the correcting was completed i gave it a coat of AG SRP by hand then polished it off with a black finishing pad!!" FYI Its recommended that SRP is 'worked in' rather than applied to the entire vehicle and then buffed off... it can be a downright PITA to remove if left to dry... ![]() |

The UC/CG No.2 combo removed all the swirls/imperfections.... I just thought i would try extract slightly more shine with the SRP, it was more an experiment!!! ![]() ![]() |

RE: Silver Fiesta 1.6
Great work Wayno. You do enjoy working on the fezzies... SRP is a mother to remove if left to dry, I learnt that the hard way..

Interesting, since applied some on my g/f's 3-year old Picanto after I'd clayed and left it to dry. Didn't find it hard to buff off after an hour, so perhaps I was lucky. I did mist the applicator with a squirt of water first to keep the SRP application very thin |

RE: Silver Fiesta 1.6
Great work Wayno - nice wet finish on the silver.
I noticed that you removed the grill during the polishing process - is this something you do regularly? |

You got the thumbs up from our local engine bay guru (Springbok), and you can't do any better than that.
