RE: Advice required: takkies for the Golf
I see not too many Yoko's on this thread... I have had A-drives on my last kadett that demanded a lot from the front tyres and my coupe has S-drives on it... both have been brilliant in my opinion... I dunno how to rate them against the others but just some more info...

RE: Advice required: takkies for the Golf
If a SET = 4 tyres it can't be R3000 for 4 x Conti Sport Contact 3's. That's R750 per tyre????

They probably conti economy specials.
It sucks paying the money for tires, but once they on it feels so worth it. |

RE: Advice required: takkies for the Golf
Years ago I bought a BMW325i (old square shape - forget the code). Anyways it came with Goodyear G something tyres and I spun the car in the wet on High Level Road at night. Next day I went out and put on top of the range Yokohama tyres and it absolutely transformed the car.
I lived in Hout Bay at the time and worked in town so whichever way I comuted always involved lots of sharp corners. The car stuck to the road like sh*t on a shovel. |

Does anybody else here have experience with Firehawk tires. I currently have them on my car. They don't seems to bad, are not that expensive(iirc around R1000 for 205/65/15) and have the all-road have guarantee thing.
