Eucalyptus oil is a natural oil and can be used to clean sticky residue from various surfaces. As it is an oil you will need to clean it off (the residue) otherwise your next product may not adhere properly

Eucalyptus oil works really well when removing tar or sticky residue from painted surfaces, but it does leave some oiliness behind which needs to be cleaned properly as it does tend to inhibit the effectiveness of any follow up product (polish, wax or sealant).
