The lip of the rims were high polished when I had them refurbed some time ago. Due to poor maintenance, the brake dust got "baked" into the lip and it lost most of the shine. I used the metal polish to clean the high polished area and as you can see it seem to do the trick.

I thought about taking the wheels off but must admit that I was too lazy to do so. Maybe next time I will and I would also like to try Rimwax as well.

Nicely done again. Rimwax is the real deal, my favourite product at the moment.

Ahh I see now. Was just looking at the painted face was confused.

Very nicely done. 3 hours to achieve those results is good going. I second the suggestion that removing the wheels and spending a little more time would give you even greater satisfaction.

Applying Rimwax or another sealant would also be advisable as it will make maintaining the clean wheels a lot easier.
