Clean Up - Wayno - 04-05-2010 I gave my car a good clean on SAT, started with a good wash, engine bay, wheel well, interior all included. Then clayed using Megs clay, unfortunately i couldnt do any paint correction (i have some swirls and fine scratches), I tried applying some Megs UC by hand (as i dont have a DA YET) but that didnt work out so i just gave the car a good wax using Megs Gold Class Wax. Here are some pics: Before: (car wasnt that dirty) ![]() ![]() ![]() During: ![]() ![]() After: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

RE: Clean Up - Jughead - 04-05-2010 Nicely done Wayno ... your ride is still looking good ... ..."...I tried applying some Megs UC by hand (as i dont have a DA YET) but that didnt work out..."... I haven't used Meguiar's Ultimate Compound, but what was the "didn't work out" part/issue with the UC ... didn't it help to remove the swirls? Hand application too much effort? etc... Yeah man, the UC DEF works but its way too much work to try do the entire car by hand..... RE: Clean Up - AMD001 - 04-05-2010 Nice Job.How long did it take to remove the lights? Did you do the Interior? RE: Clean Up - Carn - 04-05-2010 Lovely work Wayno and great attention to detail I had 2 Hankooks (225/40/18) on my previous GTI after I had a 6 inch bolt go through one of my tires. Never had any issues with them although I only covered around 10k km with them before flogging the car RE: Clean Up - calypso - 04-05-2010 Great work RE: Clean Up - Wayno - 05-05-2010 (04-05-2010, 04:09 PM)AMD001 Wrote: Nice Job.How long did it take to remove the lights? The tailights are extremely easy to remove, wont even take you a minute!!! You just need the correct spline key to remove the bolts... I just vacumed the interior and gave it a wipe down, thats all it needed!!!(04-05-2010, 06:44 PM)Carn Wrote: Lovely work Wayno and great attention to detail Thanks Carn Yeah im enjoying those Hankooks, but like i said i have just got them so i hope they serve me well.... ![]() ![]()
