Right so last week I finally got the chance to install my OEM sportpack springs in my car. I had the standard springs but was waiting until I got new tyres so that I could just do the tyres and springs at once in order to only do alignment once instead of twice.
I was going to go with 245/40/17's at the back, but after fitting one to the rim, it jst didnt look right, so I went with the original setup and went 225/45/17 all round. I'm now sporting a nice set of Conti Sport Contact 3's and they are brilliant, very predictable and amazingly quiet for a sport rated tyre.
The springs are great as well and have complimented the new tyres brilliantly! I got about a 25mm drop on my ride height and the body roll in corners has been reduced substantially! I can feel a definite difference in the ride as well, its a lot firmer now and you get a lot more feed back through the steering wheel.
