Recipes - Misc - Toasted Honey Muesli
Ingredients:
1 kg Oats
250 ml Wheatgerm
500 ml Coconut
500 ml Sunflower seeds
750 ml Digestive bran
375 ml Brown sugar
375 ml Water
250 ml Oil
250 ml Honey
5 ml salt
10 ml Cinnamon
15 ml Vanilla essence
Raisins or dried fruit
Method:
Preheat oven to 150 C. In a large bowl, combine dry ingredients. Mix well.
In a large saucepan, combine brown sugar, water, salt, cinnamon and vanilla essence.
Heat until sugar has dissolved, but do not boil. Pour syrup over dry ingredients
and stir until well coated.
Spread on 3 large baking pans. Bake at 150 C for 15 to 20 minutes,
stirring occasionally or for a crunchier texture, bake longer.
Cool. Add fruit. Store in airtight containers and use within 6 months.
