Rolleyes the reason i have been so quiet...

Hit and run a few weeks back. My car was parked safely on my girlfriends road, when someone reversed into it.

Thanks to whoever did it. I know you drive an old white corolla. I will catch you eventually...

Ouch

The worst thing about damage to ones car is not the cost cause most people do have insurance but the fact that you are going to be with out your car while at panel beaters.

Dont feel too bad mate....

I have been driving our 1.8 litre Corsa Bakkie for the last few weeks (Im a learner) and today after parking it up the guy who drives in to work with me (A good colleuge who trusts me to drive) reversed and took out the whole right rear fender against a pole....

Quote is R3500...

The worst thing is that when we had the tracker fitted the tracking company used the wrong screw and drilled a whole through the roof... So this is the second time the car is back...

Oh and the Seatbelt "fell" off.... So be happy its not that bad... Our Corsa has given us poor luck since we got it.

Your car will be back to its former glory very soon.

Mike

RE: the reason i have been so quiet...
Well there is quite alot of internal damage. I am really depressed about the whole thing. The control arm and subframe are gonna be replaced. Along with 2 new wheels since both were buckled. (the other side was pushed against the pavement.) I have to just move on and accept it. The cost to fix will be in the region of R35 000. Everything is being replaced and they have their best guys on the car, so it will be good as new.

The saddest thing about this is that now, because of some idiot, your cars resale value has just been obliterated!

you lucky you not like me in the sense that I dont want anything to do with a car after it has been in an accident, fixed 100% or not, it just totally puts me off the car

If either of the wheels is at all salvagable then you should try and buy them back from the insurance and get them refurbed and keep them as spares.

RE: the reason i have been so quiet...
Ye i feel the same way Don but what can i do. All the money i make goes into that car. If i had crashed it then maybe i would sell, but ye... Its just bad luck man. The damage is minimal underneath but i want it to be perfect, since it was perfect when i parked it there for F^%K sakes. So sad... I will have the car for a long time so i just have to shut up and deal with it.
