Something for Alfa fans
After helping Woodie with his post-delivery clean up on his new car, I visited a friend that is also in to detailing. He had spent the whole day correcting a black Alfa Romeo that had been butchered by a panelbeater. To correct the defects, he compounded the car with Meguiar’s M85 Diamond Cut on a W7000 cutting pad and refined the finish with Meguiar’s M80 Speed Glaze on a W8000 polishing pad.

He was about to put on a layer of sealant but I interjected and asked if we could try something different. I pulled out my hard case from ProperAutorcare, the Blackfire twins. First was the Wet Diamond All Finish Paint Protection (sealant) followed by Midnight Sun Ivory Carnauba Paste Wax Refill (paste wax). While the manufacturer recommends waiting 8 hours before applying the paste wax, we decided to go straight ahead and top the sealant with the paste wax immediately.

I have to commend my friend for the excellent correction work but the Blackfire twins also added something special to the finish.

I am sure Springbok will enjoy these pics.

Mmmmmm..........yummy.

The GT is a beautiful car. It is on the same platform as the 156. I would buy the 3.2 V6.

Beautifull cars no doubt, it is only the lack lustre sales figures that worry me. I honestly can't see how Alfa/Fiat SA are still remaining afloat locally if you view the monthly Naamsa sales stats Uhoh2

Didn't want to mention the 'rumoured' bad service levels considering I have had no 1st hand experience but you certainly let the cat out of the bag Plthumbsdown

Alfa need to get back to their roots. Straight engine in the front, driving wheels at the back. You cant just look performance with no performance.
