Detailed - Jetta 4

Hi guys,

Detailed a Jetta 4 on Saturday - Pearlescent Green.
Really took along time though. Basically washed the car 3 times, so the time spent was about 7,5 Hours. :wacko:
I washed this car about 2 weeks back and followed with NXT Tech Wax.
Car had quite abit of swirls on the bonnet as well as terrible stone chips which i think would need a respray. Went down into the primer coat. ;(
Quite abit of white spots on the bonnet, front bumper and mirrors. Seems the car hasnt had a good TLC session in about 5 years. 8|

Ok, the process that i followed was as follows:

1. Whels cleaned with Clean green and NXT Shampoo.
2. Car washed with Nxt Shampoo (2 Bucket wash system to reduce swirling). Drying was complimented with Last touch.
3. Clayed with Chemical guys Clay and last touch as Lub.
4. Washed with Gold class Shampoo and Complimented with last touch as drying aid. Created a good gloss.
5. Swirls and scratches treated as follows:
5.1. DC1 Paint cleaner.
5.2. Shield orbital and laser buff... Didnt produce very good results.
5.3. Bumped up to Chemical Guys Diamond Cut 1.5 - Seen better results with this compound.
Only downside was that the dusting was a complete nightmare hence the need for a rewash.
6. Wash with half NXt Shampoo and Half Gold Class Shampoo.
7. Waxed with NXT Tech wax - 30 mins drying time.
8. Topped off with DC3 Pure Carnauba Wax. (Best of both worlds)
9. Wheels Waxed with Cleaner Wax and Rubber treated with Endurance Tyre Gel.
10. Trim Treated with Gold Class Trim Detailer.
11.Windows Treated with Chemical Guys Window Cleaner.
