RE: BMW's new twin turbo V8
They are just that much more fuel efficient and "mod-able" than NA engines Bluebiggrin I cant wait to see the first TT ///M car!

Just imagine the power they are going to be pushing out! Merc had to supercharge their C32AMG to wring out the same power that BMW did with the same engine capacity NA e46 M3! already the guys with 135's and 335's are pushing huge power with minimal mods Excited

RE: BMW's new twin turbo V8
Can you imagine the power they'll be getting on a FI M car after a tune.
The likes of AMG and RS-anything should be worried.

And talking about fuel economy...
I was getting 6.5 ltr/100 during the holidays to and from Hermanus.
Just doing 140-150km/hr when there weren't traps.

I think that's pretty decent for a "performance" car.

RE: BMW's new twin turbo V8
Well - back in November I clipped this from my OBC in the S3 ...

Braamfontein to Rivonia on the M1 at a modest 110km/h.

Not bad for a Revo'd, Forge induction kitted and fuel pump modded mere VAG 2 Litre powerplant me'thinks.

Having said that - stuck in traffic on the M1 yesterday sitting idle for 15 mins without moving - the OBC registered 36L/100.
