Shy Newbie Alert
Hello guys

I was referred to this forum through detailingworld and it is great to see that Detailing is very much alive in South Africa.

I have been detailing for about a year or two now but I know I am nowhere near as good as the proffessionals. I am currently a student at Wynberg Boy's High School and have worked mostly with german vehicles- GTi's and Audi's along with a Chilli Red Peugeot 206 which I will post up a little later along with a 20 something year Nissan Langley.

I have a friend who also does detailing who is visiting soon from the UK. If anyone wants to meet up and do a few cars drop me a PM.

Looks like a great forum.
Mike

RE: Newbie Alert
very nice, I assume if you removing swirls you are using a machine? which machine you using?

Those pics from Bloomsbury are quite recent right? well within the last 2 months, cos that superleggera is still there AFAIK, and has only been on the floor since the anthracite one sold not so long ago.

RE: Newbie Alert
Hi

This is rather embarressing and all but I have been usin a cheapi rotary polisher from Game that only spins at 3200Rpm to remove swirls. It takes forever but it does the job.

The pics were taken a few months ago. As far as I know the Superlegga is the owners of that branches car and is used for publicity and racing (I was invited to a track day with the car). When i was there the car was still a bit dirty with rubber etc. Used photoshop to remove most of the dirt Iono

Not been to Bloomsbury since though. Too much car porn Rofl

RE: Newbie Alert
They have a lovely resturant there now. Dont wanna see the prices through Bawling

Im just using the pad that came with it. Its a cotton/cloth something or other pad? And it comes with like as sheepskin buffing pad that I find amazing. As for the speed. I hate it and the pad is 9 inch in diameter so not the most useful.

I will take a look and see if I can get there. Im writing my finals soon so gotta study. Hopefuly the parents will say yes Blah

Thanks for the invite.

LOL, hey.... I work! taking pics is very hard work! Rofl

but seriously though, Megesh is real help and its great to have someone to listen to my singing while I detail Bluebiggrin I was just saying to him yesterday, that it used to be REALLY boring detailing by myself, especially when I forgot to re-charge my ipod Bluebiggrin

RE: Newbie Alert
Yeup Metsu. I was starting to worry. And spotty dog is a big spotty dog. Like human size! lol

I dont know about their work. I have been past there a few times. They seem to have some decent cars (Mitsu's and BMW's and Merc's mostly) all lined outisde looking uber shiny. So I assume their work is good.
