Hellrot Red M3 by Poor-Boys
This car was an absolute pleasure to work on, it is a 1994 model and is in pristine condition, very light swirls and some RIDS, but nothing major. The paint also had a very slight bit of oxidation, which was only noticeable when an unpolished section was compared to a polished section of paint.

Firstly, I just had to take this pic and show you guys

Car before:

I found it extremely difficult to capture the swirls on this colour, the camera couldnt seem to focus on them, but kept trying to focus on the background, this is what I could come up with:

We tried some new stuff this time around and took some pieces off the bootlid so that we could really polish properly and get in everywhere to clean

Got a before and after of the driver side mirror

Before:

After
[Image: P9240025.jpg]

Then just a whole bunch of after shots:
We decided to top this one off with chemical Guys Butter Wet Wax, to bring up the deep red gloss

Mag-wesh worked his magic again Bluebiggrin

And now for something different......

I thought I would try out a vid of the finished product as well, just to show how the reflections warped and moved on the panels Bluebiggrin

Please let me know what you think of the vid, maybe I will make more going forward if you guys like it.

Awesome work guys, was this one also a non clear coat car? Looks very pink in the before pics. Also whats going on in the front, i see the mesh has been sprayed and there are some bits under the spoiler. I see CT has not found my numberplate blanking panel, but off 39km makes my car look like it should be in an old age home.

Stunning work guys. Paint looks perfect in the afters.

Must have been tough deciding to ditch your tried and trusted LSP for a carnauba wax.

Thos bits under the skirt would be the standard splitters that you could get for the E36 M3 from BMW, they are apparently really kak though, because they are so low that they break off on every second speedbump.

Yeah the mesh has been sprayed for some strange reason, I dont like it like that at all.

No Clear on this car, correct

I decided to go that route, mainly because I have had very good results with the Adams Buttery Wax on single stage paint. The Red MX6 that I did quite a while ago was very similar to this.

Naah those things are not standard, some aftermarket stuff so i thought it might have to do with the sprayed mesh.
And those wheels look immaculate. Damn

Very nice work guys, that one is in a hell of a lot better condition than the one we did though. Same colour (hellrot) as well : ) Ours also had the front mesh sprayed for some or other reason !

Excellent work guys. The close up photo of the mirror highlights the increased clarity that has been achieved.

I notice an Absorber chamois (Shield, I think) in the boot. I trust that you shared the Poor-boys product catalogue with the owner and pointed out the value of a good drying towel.

Those corner splitters are from BMW.
They weren't std for the coupe, but came with the 4 door M3.
And if I recall, quite an expensive pice of plastic, like everything else from the agents.

Whats even worse was that I found a tin of D-28 silicone spray in the boot Uhoh2 And yes... owner was informed of the proper products Bluebiggrin

Aha that makes more sense then. I even check realOEM and there were no splitters on there.

A very unusual colour, sort of a pinky red.

No clearcoat? That's quite rare these days.

2 Washes in 1 week for a car that hardly drives? Just give the guy a California duster for free. What does the owner say about the finish? You will probably also find the harsh chemicals have washed off all the body and wheel wax. Ouch

Red and yellow never got clearcoat for some unknown reason.
