Which APC?
Hi guys

Which APC are you guys using?

I've been using Adams APC at different dilution ratios, and it seems to work really well.

I also tried clean green, and it doesn't appear to work as well.

Just want to get an idea which ones are any good.

RE: Which APC?
Cyclo CM30 or Prepsol.

Clean green is quite harsh and can have some negative side effects on certain metals if not rinsed off quickly enough.

Prepsol is a de-greaser and not really a all purpose cleaner

Yeah I know but it does a pretty good job at cleaning......doesn't it, Captain Prepsol. Bluebiggrin

That said I would only use it on the exterior and wouldn't want try it on interior fabrics without a test first.

RE: Which APC?
Hi

I've used Meguiar's All Purpose Cleaner, Carways Multi-Purpose Cleaner, Shield Blade All Purpose Cleaner and a few others.

My go to nowadays is the Shield Blade All Purpose Cleaner as it's easier to obtain from your local retailer (PnP, BW, Makro, Game, etc) than the other "Auto Detailing Manufacturers Branded" All Purpose cleaners.

Even so, my Mom asked me to get her some of the Shield Blade All Purpose Cleaner for around the house Bluebiggrin

and at +/- R100-00 per 5 ltr ... "best bang for your buck" Bluebiggrin
Thumb

RE: Which APC?
Shield Blade and Carways APC are my go-to's...Both available at reasonable prices. I tried a Cyclo APC sample which worked well, but required a bit of extra rinsing to remove Thumb

RE: Which APC?
Carways APC leaves white residue/marks - so not so keen on that one

I've never had issues with the Carways, but then again I seldom use it diluted at less than 5 or 6 to 1. Most of the stronger APC's will stain if used at too strong a dilution.

Blade works well as I mentioned, but its not quite as good as some of the stronger variants, just comes down to where you using it. For tires and arches, etc a stronger APC would suffice. For sensitive trim like window rubbers, exterior plastics, etc you might want to stick to something milder if stains are of concern.
