new Paint
Hallo guys,

It has been too long sinvce I've been on the forum. I am so busy with my new house that I do not even have time for this, let alone detailing.

In a few weeks i will be going to my sister and bro in law to go and help him with his latest project that he sort of stuffed up.

He bought a old Honda bellade 1.5 and found the paint was too bad to save so he repainted it in white with 2K automotive paint. He sais he wetsanded it and tried rotary buffing it but it will not get a shine from it. What i would like to kow is, which of the menz trio would be the best to use after a wetsand? I will go with some final finish and colli 845 afterwards.

Thanks,
Wouter

He repainted it himself? Was the paint baked?

Yes he did the respray himself in a spraybooth but the paint was not baked, it air dried. He has done it before on a old corolla and it came out great, but this time the paint came out dull and with no shine. I would like to do a wetsand on it and then I thought of using menz power gloss, IP and final finish, then for protection colli 845 or getting a new one like megs yellow paste wax.

RE: new Paint
I would try SIP first before bumping up to PG. If he has to go the PG route then follow with SIP and FA and it should give him a crisp, sharp finish!
