Meet the Dakar
Well here it is, 1998 328iM individual, dakar yellow II.

I bought spongebob on good Friday, there are a lot of small things I must do in the line of detailing, but overall the car is in very good nick.

Did my vinyl carbon fibre looking badges, I far prefer this to the blue on yellow.

One of the first things I did was remove these horrid things.

I've also removed the ///M badge from the back of the car, replaced all the ///M badges on the wheels which were missing, I assume they were swiped somewhere along the line.

RE: Meet the Dakar
Clean car, will it be a project car or just a money maker turnaround? I want a old ride as well, but a tad bit older than this one, a 1990 or 1989 Jetta CLI, but cannot find one in good nick.

RE: Meet the Dakar
Nice machine.
I love the look of these E36 Motorsport editions, now, just some M3 rims to complete the look(for me anyway).

RE: Meet the Dakar
Thanks guys, this is a keeper on my part. Funny thing is that I was already offered way more than I paid for it on the first day of ownership.

A nice set of light weight M3 wheels would be great, but good luck finding them.

RE: Meet the Dakar
Correct me if I'm wrong, but when new it had about 145kw, and 250nm torque? And if you know how to switch the ASC completely off you will burn the hell out of the tyres.

RE: Meet the Dakar
Supposed to be 141kw and 280talks. But it weighs considerably less than an e46. I can feel a massive difference in the pull between this and the 320i which has 125kw and 220talks.

Beautiful car. Congrat's! Still one of the best looking BMW's IMO.

RE: Meet the Dakar
I love these cars!

Out of curiosity (and apologies for the rudeness of this question), but what does one of these sell for these days?
