Rustbucket car with Carn's help
These are just some after shots.
De-waxed with Sonax de-wax.
Washed with Sonax high gloss.
Clay a la Megs detail clay.
Wheels by Sonax wheel cleaner.
Polished with Presta swirl remover.
Second buff with Auto Glym super resin.
Finnished with Auto glym high gloss.
Glass by Auto glym fast glass.

Additional elbow grease provided by Carn.

I was very happy with the Autoglym on the flat colour.

RE: Rustbucket car with Carn's help
Top shelf work Rustbucket. The car has a lovely deep gloss.

What is the LSP used (wax or sealant)? I am not familiar with the Autoglym High Gloss product, is that similar to Autoglym EGP?

RE: Rustbucket car with Carn's help
It is a sealant as far as I know Siya. I can't find it listed anywhere but suspect it is the same stuff called Extra Gloss Protection (maybe they changed the name :ionoBluebiggrin

From the AGlym website

"If you would like to achieve the ultimate paintwork finish, as demanded by the perfectionist - this is the product for you. Autoglym Extra Gloss Protection is an extra tough, protective sealant that contains a complex blend of hard resins and waxes. Treated surfaces are protected with a super-tough finish to keep paintwork looking brilliant for longer. This durable deep gloss film is suitable for all types of automobile paintwork, including metallic, clear coat and water based finishes. Unlike a polish, it contains no cleaning or polishing agents and should only be used on clean, dry, blemish-free paintwork, ideally pre-treated with Autoglym Super Resin Polish. The resultant highly durable, deep gloss finish provides an extra tough barrier against most environmental contaminants. "

RE: Rustbucket car with Carn's help
Yep, as Carn said, thats the one. A mix of waxes and sealents. But goes on very easily. Let dry for 30 min at least. Buff off.
