Some snaps before we got started. The car was fairly dirty and was full of hologramming and buffer trails from whoever last polished the car. Not sure who did it but they most certainly didn't have a clue what they were doing with a buffer. To date I think this must be one of the worst examples of rotary carnage we have seen on a cars paint Plthumbsdown

After rinsing, washing, re-rinsing and drying we inspected the paint. The paint was pretty much contaminant free and silky smooth so we elected to skip the claying and get stuck into the polishing. Our biggest concern was to find a combo that would cut down the swirling and not leave further buffer trails or holograms in the paint.

A quick pass with SIP on a green LC pad seemed to cut down the swirls dramatically as can be seen in these attempted 50/50 shots...

We decided to follow the SIP and green combo with 106FF on a white pad to bring back some extra gloss and finish down some of the finer swirling. Eventually we wound up using a combo of green and orange LC pads followed with the 106FF on the white pad.

While Rustbucket got started on the polishing I got stuck into the interior. The interior was cleaned with the Sonax Profiline and then treated with some Meg's NXT. The seats were given a wipedown and then applied with Sonax Leather Care Lotion.

No befores from the interior only some quick afters.

After polishing we decided to give JL's 4 Star Paint Protection a try on the black paint. We applied the sealant by machine with a black pad and it went on and off really easily. The finish it left was fantastic but unfortunately were almost out of light so the after pics aren't the greatest. I had to bump up the exposure to try get some decent shots in the fading sun but unfortunately without a tripod the images are slightly blurry !

After this it was into the garage again to finish the windows, tyre dressings and some final bits and pieces. The customer was really happy that we restored his pride in his ride and sent me these photo's he took the following day out in the sun.
