The other aspect to consider is the physical nature of the work involved. I know on a weekend after spending 20+ hours on a car I am knackered! Doing it 5 or 6 days a week would take some adjustment, especially in light of the fact that I currently spend 97% of my daylight hours parked behind a desk

Thanks for the advice David. My idea is to rather focus on body repair & painting (as I have more experience with that) and to do the detailing on the side as an additional service, but I am still in the planning phases...

However, I fully agree with you about the physical workout. I also spend my day behind a laptop so doing one detail kills me Hopefully I will only do this for a limited duration and in a "supervisory" position!
