Avatar: What does it mean-
The Nordschleiffe...What else?

What do you like most about detailing?
Seeing the transformation and spending time alone with my wandering mind

What are your favourite products/processes and why?
At the moment it would have to be applying waxes...Can't tell you why I like it I just do!

What’s your dream car(s) and why?
Porsche 997 GT3 RS..It's a Porsche!

What’s your favourite previously owned automobile?
Mk V GTI...Fantastic motor car IMHO!

Tell me about your first detail?
Was on the 1st car I bought for myself, a red VW CTI. Basically used off the shelf products with a mutton cloth...It came up well Bluebiggrin

What’s the best thing you’ve learned?
Rotary polishing

What are some of your other hobbies and interests?
Motorsports, Mountain Biking and IT stuff

Do you have any pets?
2 Pugs, Quasi and Marmite...Love them to bits!

Name three techniques that you think you should share with fellow Detailers.
TBM
Claying in straight lines
Zenith polishing technique

Where are you from and where do you live now?
Born and raised in Boksburg...Still living here now

What was your first car and what got you interested in keeping cars perfect?
1st Car was an 88' (iirc) Opel Monza GLE. Later when I bought my 1st car I wanted it to be perfect. I guess my dad's obsession with his cars wore off on me!

Current automobiles-
Car?...What car Bluebiggrin

What motivates you to detail?
The desire to do the best I can and blow peoples expectations out of the water!

Would you ever pay someone else to detail your car?
Perhaps...

Does detailing run in the family at all, or are you the only normal one?
Only myself at the moment if I go by my definition of detailing. Dad still likes to keep his cars looking good but is wary of machine polishing and hence doesn't quite fit the bill by my standards...Sorry dad Bluebiggrin

What is your favourite part about detailing?
At the moment its the final few steps. I also like seeing the results of machine polishing as you work your way around the car.

If detailing is a hobby for you, would you like to do it full time, or do you feel that it would take the fun out of it?
I'm in 2 minds about this one. On the one hand I think it would be the ideal job for me, but on the other I worry that if I had to depend on it for my survival my feelings may change!

What is your favourite car to detail and why?
Anything with lots of curvy bits Bluebiggrin

Do you prefer to detail a Supercar or everyday car?
They both have their pro's and con's...Supercar would win given the choice I think

What detailing tool do you think every detailer should have in their arsenal? (Excluding the obvious stuff like wash mitts etc.)
For the casual detailer....A foam lance. For the seasoned vet a PTG

What are your current favourite brands and why?
Werkstat Acrylic for whites and Menz abrasives...They stand head and shoulders above the rest IMO

What do you do when you’re not detailing?
Try to relax..Watch movies, spend time with my wife and the dogs..Just chill really

A few quick fire questions:

•Ferrari or Lamborghini?
Porsche...the rest are for posers Bluebiggrin

•Wax or Sealant?
Wax

•Rotary or Orbital Polisher?
Rotary

•Hamburger & Chips or Healthy food?
Pizza

•Coffee or Coke?
Fruit juice
