I had a 1992 525 i same body shape and ended up doing 325 000 kms with it. It was practically indestructable. Always wanted the V8.

Oh, PS Don, those wheels are going to be a bitch to clean

As much as I love the wheels, I plan on changing them for a 16or17" deep dish staggered setup.
