BMW Z4
So I finally got the Z4 scheduled - was dropped off at my place at about 10am Saturday. The owner specifically wanted me to do the interior (my least favourite part). As they say, the customer is always right, so I had to put aside my prejudices and get down to work. The exterior was swirled and hazed, with one or two deeper scratches that were beyond compounding correction. Despite my increased confidence with the rotary after last weeks training, I still didn't feel up to using it on the Z4 with its numerous sharp edges, and opted for the G220 instead.
Process followed was as follows: Interior Vacuumed Leather treated with GC Leather Cleaner & Conditioner All other surfaces treated with M40 Wheels & Tyres First cleaned with Sonax Full Effect, but I left it on a little too long and it left some residue Followed up with Wheel Brightner which removed the residue Tyres treated with Endurance Gel Engine Bay Wiped down with APC All plastic and black bits sprayed with Adams In Out Spray Exterior Washed with GC Shampoo Clayed with mild clay and Last Touch as lubricant M105 applied with the G220 and cutting pad - finished realy well and I was able to go directly to the LSP NXT 2.0 (allowed to cure overnight as the owner only collected the car on Sunday) 3 applications of UQD during the course of Sunday morning Glass cleaned with Glass Cleaner Concentrate (from the Detailer range and another value for money product @ R250 with 10:1 dilution) - works just as well as the NXT Glass Cleaner Soft top Washed with GC Shampoo 3 applications of Ragg Top Soft Top Protectant Before photos ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Afters ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
