Waxon welcomes Dents N All (Paarden Eiland)
Most of you know PaulVW from the incredibly detailed restoration and detailing work he has shared with us here on Waxon. It is only fitting then that I use this opportunity to welcome Paul aboard as Waxon's newest forum sponsor.

For those who don't know Paul has setup shop in Cape Town as a Dents N All franchisee, with a twist!

Aside from the franchises regular avenues of business, Paul will also be continuing to provide his incredibly thorough detailing services! I am sure the combination of dent and minor collision repairs, coupled with your eye for quality and perfection will yield spectacular results!

Paul I wish you all the best with your new venture and look forward to seeing you and your business growing from strength to strength. May 2011 be the start of great things for you bud Thumb

RE: Waxon welcomes Dents N All (Paarden Eiland)
Hi guys,
Thanks a lot for all the words of encouragement. I really appreciate it.

I hope this explains why I have been quite on the forum lately - I worked my ass off the last 3 weeks to get this shop open, while still working my notice period at Optimal Energy. I averaged between 3 to 4 hours sleep the past few days but I can tell you it is defnitely worth it!

David,
Thanks for setting us up and for your very kind words of welcome. Much appreciated.

Finally, thanks to my friend and business partner Piet Bakkes for helping me to set this up. I hope and trust we will be successfull as we are both pasionate about cars.

I will still post more details in our section, but here are a few teaser pics taken Sunday afternoon when we celebrated the completion of the biggest part of the work. Enjoy!

TBH - To answer your question - Yes. Although I hope things work out as my wife still works there, I have my doubts that it will be a success. Funding is the biggest issue and although the IDC has committed to funding the project - the red tape with releasing the funds is killing their development schedule Plthumbsdown

Thanks Onyx Thumb
This used to be a bathroom showroom so most of the floors were tiled and we decided to do an epoxy coat on the workshop / panel beating area. That was a really good investment as these floors look better than the tiled area Bluebiggrin

Yes, we are really trying to set a new benchmark in terms of cleaness and neatness in a small panel shop. We want our customers to hand over their keys with confidence, knowing that their cars will be well looked after.

I hope we can keep it this way when cars start rolling in Bluebiggrin

I think we now have a perfect venue for some detailing classes in Cape Town too Thinking
Mike from Megs visited me yesterday and we started chatting about some possibilities. If possible, it will be great to have you present down here for some classes?

But for now, I am just foccussing on getting the panel shop going, and the detailing side will follow, so we have some time.

Cheers,
Paul

You don't need to send your CV man - I have seen your work - you have the job!

The only problem will be paying your salary Bluebiggrin

It's something I'll keep in mind. We have discussed running a CT class, and we definitely want to do so this year. We just need to decide on a date and get the ball rolling.

We're running a Durban class at the end of this month - once that's done we'll concentrate on getting a CT class confirmed.

LC, a few guys have volunteered to sleep here already Rofl

We are starting off with our focus on small dent repair and spraywork, but we have installed a 2 post lift and dataline bench required for the major structural repair work. We need a few additional pieces of equipment and then we will be able to apply for MSR certification in a few month's time.

PS. I have loaded more pics taken yesterday in our sponsor section Thumb
