Sunday's Roast
So this past Sunday I was treated to a roast....Roasting of my frikken ass at the A1 GP
Even though we had tickets for seats under some shade net covers we still got crisped to hell. Heck my face feels like dried out leather, I was even contemplating some 303 to restore the leathers suppleness but I chickened out for fear of any adverse reactions to my fried epidermis Anyways enough kak praat, here are a selection of the better pics I managed to snap from our seats Some pre-race pit action What have we here ? Man do these things sound befok Some A1 cars leaving the pits on the formation lap Some action on the grid prior to the start Thatisall Moments before the start, man what an experience when they all fire up those engines...Gave me goosebumps Chequered flag The Sprint Race winner, Jeroen Bleekemolen Some more cars leaving the pits for the main race Start of the main race Some pit stop action Some race pics, hats off to the guys who manage to snap the cars in action. It must take lots of practice and skill to get decent shots, out of all 900 odd photo's only a handfull of race ones were even remotely useable Rain on the way towards the end of the main race when we left Will upload some clips of the start to Youtube as soon as I have some time Enjoy ! Nice photos Dave - taking pics of high speed action is definitely an art. The photos produced by photographers at F1 races always leave me speechless because I know how difficult it is.

RE: Sunday's Roast
Awesome pics!
I think the A1 Grand Prix is soon going to be more popular than the F1 version. Its a great sport. Mike ** Still thinking of something intelligent to say... ** :icon9: |

Not sure on the actual performance stats, but one of the posters on carforums said he did informal lap times on the FXX. Not sure how hard the FXX drivers were pushing but he timed them lapping at 1:58's versus average of 1:32's for the A1 top 10 runners. |
