DETAILING AS A BUSSINESS
Hey guys, i was just wondering. . .
Are any of you guys doing this as a bussiness??? If so, is it full time or part time??? Im the kind of guy that loves doing things myself but even id pay top $$$ for the finishes that some guys get here. It amazes me what you could do with some knowledge and dedication. |

RE: DETAILING AS A BUSSINESS
As far as I know, there are three teams on this forum that generate income from detailing: Poor-Boys (Freerider and Megesh), Mobile-Image (Carn and Rustbucket), CD or should I say ****** (Vampyre and Pravin). if you care to ship your car to the land of Obama, then JL could sort you out.
The rest of us are enthusiasts that have nothing better to do then spend money on duplicate products. |

RE: DETAILING AS A BUSSINESS
Beware, Detailing your own car is hectic enough - because imagine being a pro detailer pitching up at a client with a dirty car

RE: DETAILING AS A BUSSINESS
There are a couple of us, all part time at the moment as far as I am aware. I don't think running a full time detailing business is a viable option in SA at the present moment. I think as detailing grows and becomes more well known it might be a different story, at the moment the majority of vehicle owners consider a proprietary glaze or valet to be the shizzness

RE: DETAILING AS A BUSSINESS
Ive done few cars here and there for some dosh but i would hardly call it a business. I've also seen alot more interest in scratch repairs then actual full details.

RE: DETAILING AS A BUSSINESS
There are a lot of Car Wash/Valet companies that call themselves "Detailers" but they are not at all.
I could be more rude but I will hold back. |

RE: DETAILING AS A BUSSINESS
And that cause people to connect "detailers" to normal "Valet" which makes it harder expand the concept of detailing. It is easy to create a new idea in people's minds than to change a wrong idea to the correct idea.
