Hi guys and Girls
So on Saturday I decided to detail my car. I got some Swissvax Shield and needed to test it out Only way of doing this is prepping the paint surface Products used Flex 3401 VXG Menzerna SIP Menzera FA CCS Oranage Pad CCS White Pad CCS Black Pad Chemical Guys Jet Seal 109 SwissVax Shield Mothers MF Applicators Loads of MF Towels Chemical Guys Extreme Slick Synthetic -Acrylic Polymer Detailer (Anti-Static) Chemical Guys WINDOW CLEAN / GLASS CLEANER Chemical Guys Silk Shine dressing Chemical Guys Citrus Wash and Gloss Chemical Guys Pure leather conditioner Aerospace 303 3m Blue tape Autoglym Metal polish Tons of elbow grease and patience Before Pics The 2 Bucket Method :biggrin After the wash Arches Before Arches After ( I did make them look better but was tight for time so didnt take an updated pic ) Sealed with 303 I removed all the wheels and cleaned them all I sealed them using CG JetSeal 109 Time for the hard work I clayed the car with some New clay that Freerider asked me to try . I was very happy with it I used CG Anti Static detailing spray at the lube This pic was after i clayed the bonnet . Have a look at the contamination Pics taken after I had clayed the car The Paint work was in need of some TLC. The car was covered with minor scratches caused by Grit and the odd Patch of weirdness These pics were taken during the polishing 50/50 ( Left side polished with SIP and a CCS orange pad) Right Side was untouched More Polishing shots This Pic is after I used SIP on a orange pad followed by FA on a white CCS pad 50/50 : On the left side Its just the SIP applied with a Orange CCS pad . On the right its SIP followed by FA . Can u see the difference? More pics of the body work after SIP and FA Pics Taken in the sunlight Engine Trim detailed with Aerospace 303 This Pic was taken after the first application of Jetseal 109 applied with a Mothers MF application pad 2nd application of Jetseal 109 I used Aerospace 303 on the interior aswell. Its a fantastic product Now for the grand finale . After 18hrs of polishing and prepping the time had come to apply SwissVax Shield The Product The results The swissvax went on really really easy and come off just as easy. A little went a long was Im really impressed with it . So after 20hrs of cleaning and polishing I managed to get a few beading shots Wasnt by choice but here you go Thanks for looking |

Nice work Nick
Glad you liked the 303, as I said it's fantastic for just about everything Tell us more about the clay Nick/Don, is this similar to the yellow sample that did the rounds some time ago ? Both appear to very similar to the Ricardo clay's, they also have blue and yellow bars David : 083 642 2118 www.mobileimage.co.za |

RE: 20Hrs later
Thanks for the Kind words guys . At least my hard work paid off
The Clay : All I can say is ...This clay rocks ..A little goes a very long way Its really sticky so the chances of you dropping it are quite slim When I mean sticky I mean sticky I battled to get it off my fingers Only issue is u need lots of lube ..but other than that Its great I never tried the Purple clay but so far this is the best clay iv used 303: Iv been after this for as long as I can rememeber This has got to be my product for 2009 . Its AWESOME if you havent got some go get some NOW! I was so sick and tired of using 3-4 different products for trims and dash boards and leather etc .Where 303 does all of the above and more Most definatly money well spent |
