Audi A4 Avant
Hi Guys
I did a detail on my car in Jan but i was not happy with the results so I decided to do it again with a few more products. Products Used: Citrus Wash & Gloss Shampoo Sonax rim cleaner Cyclo apc - 10:1 Adams undercarriage spray 3m tape Smart carpet Smart dressing Menz power gloss Menz P085 Menz p0152 Poorboys world - white diamond Chemical guys - wet mirror finish Chemical guys - extreme top coat sealant Nattys paste wax red Smartgel Chemical guys luber Smartwax Clay Megs nxt metal polish blu b gone Tools & other items Used: Karcher Foam lance 2 x chemical guys buckets incl grit guards 4 x normal buckets Chemical guys drying towel Chamois Daytona wheel brush Gerbil wheel brush Cotton buds Mothers fender brush Megs slide lock brush 2 way detail brush Interior brush (soft bristle) Adams applicatior sponges Pleanty mf cloths MF applicator pads 6" Hex logic pads: orange / green / white / black & red 6" Lake country pad: black 4" Lake country pads: orange / white / black Lake country CCS hand applicators : orange / white / red Mothers washmitt Chemical guys tyre applicator Megs G220 Wolfgang finger pockets Before Pics: 3 weeks of dirt. The R8 wheels full of brake dust & road grime. Rubber mats looking sad Exhaust not that bad Light colour interior is a pain to look after.A few small stains The Sonax wheel cleaner & daytona wheel brush did wonders. Foam Time!!I tried the cwg for the first time.Im really impressed with it. Then we rinsed & clayed,The contamination was very little but remember this car got clayed In Jan. The windows gave the clay hiding!! Then we rinsed & dried.Btw thats not me,thats my nephew who was helping me out. We pulled her into the garage & taped up all the important rubbers & emblems. We tried a few combos first,Then we opted for the menz power gloss with the orange hex logic pad.The power gloss made the paint very dull & removed a few deep imperfections. Then we used the p085 with the green pad,This removed some swirl & brought the colour back to normal. Then we used the p0152 with a white pad,I was impressed with the p0152,This stage removed most of the fine swirl. Then we rinsed the car down. The white diamond on a black hex logic pad filled some imperfections that were still left & really made the car glow again. Then i followed with the wet mirror finish which really left a wet look. Then i applied the sealant,Left it for 12 hours,Then applied the nattys paste wax. The end result Paint correction: 60% - If i had a makita i would have achieved 90% Thanks for looking. Ahmed |
