RE: Detailing noob - Rory - 17-05-2009 04:02 PM

Just took some better pics, mostly the same stuff. These were taken after wash with meguiars soft wash gel and the karcher. Sonax rim cleaner got used on the rims last week but don't have the wax yet. Rims are pretty clean on the outside but probably need to remove them and wash and wax them properly.

Mike

RE: Detailing noob - Rory - 18-05-2009 10:26 AM

Nope, do you have a tracking number?

RE: Detailing noob - Liqui-Moly - 18-05-2009 11:23 AM

Interesting.. I was wondering why that plastic didnt look uber deep and shiny.

Let me call DSL Quick.

Mike
Hello Rory

Apparently there was a hold up. The package is leaving Cape Town today. Something about its on its way to the JHB branch aka lots of excuses...

Mike

Ok no problem. Should get some aerospace around the same time so this weekend probably there will be a "black off"...

RE: Detailing noob - Liqui-Moly - 18-05-2009 05:09 PM

I like that! Bluebiggrin

RE: Detailing noob - Carn - 18-05-2009 08:09 PM

Sweet Bluebiggrin

RE: Detailing noob - Rory - 18-05-2009 09:10 PM

Hey Liqui-Moly

The stuff arrived today, was waiting for me when I got home. (Just love that feeling)

Was very professionally packaged etc. The aerospace should hopefully be ready for collection tomorrow afternoon.

Rory

I guess you could say the packaging on mine is 'rustic' at best Rofl But hey, it's the product that counts Bluebiggrin

Did you wrap it in the Checkers packet, or did you go all out and wrap in the Woolies bag.

RE: Detailing noob - Liqui-Moly - 19-05-2009 08:26 AM

lol at the Woolies bag!

I like the packaging and products to be as neat as possible. Im glad it arrived safely. And hopefully the instructions make sense Bluebiggrin

Neither on these actually, they so small I'd need to put them in bank bags Bluebiggrin

Did you get your package yet btw ?

RE: Detailing noob - Liqui-Moly - 19-05-2009 08:29 PM

Hello Dave

Nothing on my side yet... We check the post every day so will let you know once it arrives.

P.S - Decided to use it on the GTI with its huge rear bumper in black... Will be doing 50/50's on the products and be updating it for the sake of durability etc etc.

Mike

Was speaking to Alexi Mike but your's should be down by the weekend Wink

Will be keen on seeing the pics and review as well as comparing longevity. One other aspect to monitor is the amount of dust each attracts. Keep us posted Wink

RE: Detailing noob - Liqui-Moly - 19-05-2009 08:41 PM

Dust Comparison? You do realise Im putting this on the back bumper of a GTI right? Thats just suicidal as far as dust repelling tests goes...

Mike

I had great success with just that (Mk V GTI rear bumper) with Mothers back to Black. A fraction of the dust compared to NXT Tech Protectant, haven't had the time to do an updated side by side comparo of the newer products though Wink

RE: Detailing noob - Liqui-Moly - 20-05-2009 07:29 AM

I shall do zit.

Listen... The bumper is a good metre long... lol. Anyone else got samples they want to send and I will give each product its own section and we can compare from there.
