I guess when your own car is already as clean as it can be you need people to volunteer their dirty cars so you can bathe in the awesomeness of the products used Tongue

Your own car can NEVER be as clean as it can be. Bluebiggrin

RE: Detailing noob - Rory - 29-04-2009 04:06 PM

Don't you think it's more rewarding to let it get really dirty, then clean it so there's a huge difference in the before/after?

RE: Detailing noob - Carn - 29-04-2009 07:44 PM

Not sure how well the 2 trim products would work together TBH. Also worth mentioning is the kind of finish you are after on the plastics. Some products are really glossy where as the 303 provides a factory finish type of satin sheen, no amazing wetness and gloss but thats not my cup of tea anyways Wink

Shine is nice but I'm more after durability. Thought it would be good to do the stuff that "restores" the plastic more and sinks in a bit, then cover with a more durable layer.

I want to do a comparison...

Mike

RE: Detailing noob - Rory - 30-04-2009 01:02 PM

You're biased, I think you should both send me some samples and I'll compare Tongue

RE: Detailing noob - Liqui-Moly - 30-04-2009 01:09 PM

Hehe you cheapskate.

Drop me a PM. Maybe we can work something out.

Mike

RE: Detailing noob - Rory - 11-05-2009 08:49 PM

Ok I've ordered just about every product in this thread... I got myself the foam lance for the karcher, works MUCH better than the standard stuff, don't know why they don't include it in the kits...

RE: Detailing noob - freerider - 11-05-2009 08:55 PM

hehe, thanks Rory, just got your order. I'm just waiting on the gallon of Maxi Suds, the shipment arrived this weekend but just needs to clear customs now.

Yeah I sold my camera recently hey... (that's why my pics in here are cellphone pics). I'm planning on buying a DSLR but the budget keeps growing so the date I might get it gets moved back all the time Tongue

What SLR are you looking at btw ? If it's a Canon you after give me a shout for a quote, I can get them at VERY good prices (100% legit and above board, not grey or anything funny) Wink

RE: Detailing noob - Rory - 12-05-2009 07:07 PM
