Today I saw a number that I have not seen before and thought that was not so bad. Thought I'll a thread were we post good or interesting number plates we saw.

Me first:

Bastard Bluebiggrin

Thats why I want to change our GTi to: Bye Bye ST

RE: Number plates - freerider - 20-04-2009 02:35 PM

good luck with that plate Mike, I know of 1 GTi that can pull away from a standard ST, and it has had some extensive work done on it.

You would look like a right plonka if you get your ass handed to you by a ST and you sporting a plate that says bye bye ST Rofl

my fav "AMG LOL - WP" on a new M3

Oi!!

Whats with the GTi hate?? I love the golfie... Its fast. Its luxury and i was reffering to the Opel Corsa Bakkie...

Im sure they fitted a 1.4 litre engine to our one.. Even though it has the 1.8 litre badge....

Anyways...... (looks away fron Don)

Anyone know how to check if ur bakkie has the correct engine?

I swear... this corsa has a smaller engine than our peugeot 206 which is a 1.4 lol

The Corsa 1.8's are donkey's. When I was at Powerflow a few years back, we were the first in the E.C to build a properly balanced split system for the Corsa UTE's. We did both our 1.4i and 1.8i. The 1.4i gained well but the 1.8i hardly bumped. In the end, the 1.4i went almost as well as the 1.8i, there wasn't much in it. Even std. the 1..8i was a real donkey unfortunately.

I'm a VAG man as I'm sure you can see, but I'll admit, the GTi V is a tank and in stock forms, the ST will pull. If you also go mod for mod, the ST will pull the GTi unfortunately.

On a single run I rekon the ST will pip the GTI, 2 or 3 hard runs though and they start to suffer badly with heat soak. I'd still have my GTI over an ST though any day of the year Bluebiggrin

One BIG factor the lot of people don't remember is the the ST needed a 2.5T to beat the VW 2.0T. Also VW is bringing back their 2.5T motor giving 254KW 450NM

The corsa is a softy....
