An unusual birthday present - springbok - 02-03-2009 10:09 PM My youngest son turned 14 recently so I decided to give him something a little different as a present: . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . In the distance you can see Table Mountain with Robben Island clearly visible in the bay. On the coast is the Koeberg Nuclear Power Station The tandem master is an old buddy of mine who happens to have been my best man. The lad enjoyed his present. RE: An unusual birthday present - freerider - 03-03-2009 07:14 AM AWESOME!!!!! did you take the pics springbok? RE: An unusual birthday present - springbok - 03-03-2009 07:31 AM No, but I was tempted to go for a jump and watch. Unfortunately I am not current anymore. I really must get back into it. RE: An unusual birthday present - 08micsta - 03-03-2009 04:09 PM Awesome! I would love to do that. Thumbs up to your son though. I know a lotta 14 year olds that would never do that. Mike RE: An unusual birthday present - calypso - 03-03-2009 05:23 PM Not current? You mean like with the club? RE: An unusual birthday present - springbok - 03-03-2009 05:50 PM Nope. I haven't jumped for several years so I would have to revalidate licences etc. RE: An unusual birthday present - Carn - 03-03-2009 08:08 PM Very very cool Alistair, awesome ! Any chance you can pop me some contact details, myself and the SO would like to do this sometime and seeing the 'view' from up there at the coast I think it will be worthwhile RE: An unusual birthday present - crazygolfer - 09-03-2009 09:58 AM OMG!!!id even be happy to get a "JUMP" for my 21st birthday...damn,i was suppoz to go with my cuz a few years ago but the timing was about out and then her licenced expired.... |
