Mobile-Image : Saint J's wicked R32 - Carn - 25-10-2008 07:00 PM Today the VW Club of SA held a Show 'n Shine event at Hatfield VW in Bryanston, Jhb. We were asked to do a detailing demo for the Show 'n Shine on a very sexy almost brand new red R32 ![]() Considering the car has less than 1000km on it at the moment it was really in almost perfect condition aside from some bonded contaminants, a few really nasty hazy areas, some fine swirling and of course some transport wax here and there. Not much in the way of befores as I said the car was pretty spotless... ![]() Two of the hazy areas, almost looks like someone attacked it with some waterpaper or something ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() The rims were about the dirtiest bits of the whole car ![]() ![]() ![]() We decided to do a quick 1 step on this one as we didn't have all that much time to complete this one and it wasn't needed TBH. The whole car was polished with AG's SRP on a white LC pad with Menz SIP for the hazy areas and some of the deeper scratches. After polishing the car was rinsed again and we applied a single layer of 4 Star UPP and finished everything off. Again we were really impressed with finish from the 4*. I am sure Siya will be along soon and he can provide us with a final stamp of approval on the red, afterall he is an expert on red ![]() Overall a easy job (for a change) on a fantastic motor car ![]() Some final pics after the 4* ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() A parting shot of the motor....man what a sound from this engine ![]() ![]() Some action pics and a few others courtesy of Shaun from the VW Club ![]() Rustbucket attacking the doors... ![]() Myself on the roof ![]() And some other afters... ![]() ![]() ![]() RE: Mobile-Image : Saint J's wicked R32 - freerider - 25-10-2008 07:08 PM nice one guys! I LURRRV the sound of these cars! RE: Mobile-Image : Saint J's wicked R32 - Starvekos - 25-10-2008 08:01 PM Henry Ford was ill advised, all cars should be Red. Lovely finish Carn and Rustbucket. Dripping wet, deep colour, reflections... its all there. Saint J (and Maldino I presume) have a knack for subtle styling that works. His white Golf 5 GTI was one of the best examples I've seen. As mentioned earlier, keep the 4* UPP safe, we all want to replicate your results on our own cars. RE: Mobile-Image : Saint J's wicked R32 - whattingh - 25-10-2008 11:21 PM The R32 is one great car. Just a round the corner of me is a silver R32. Personally the R32 looks best in silver and black for me. RE: Mobile-Image : Saint J's wicked R32 - springbok - 26-10-2008 09:39 AM The more I see of this 4* the more tempted I am. RE: Mobile-Image : Saint J's wicked R32 - MeTsU - 26-10-2008 03:09 PM Damn Saint J's R32 is tidy hey. ![]() Once again, the 4* shows itself to be a star... RE: Mobile-Image : Saint J's wicked R32 - Carn - 27-10-2008 11:25 AM Added some other pics I got from a fellow VW Club member ![]() RE: Mobile-Image : Saint J's wicked R32 - MeTsU - 27-10-2008 12:10 PM Man his R32's trick! Again, you guys did a sterling job!! Look forward to getting details half as good. ![]() RE: Mobile-Image : Saint J's wicked R32 - 08micsta - 05-11-2008 01:29 PM Lovely .:R! If we didnt have a two year waiting list we would have one in our garage.... We ordered and cancelled it for the GTi cos of how long the wait would be. Mike |
