Don - I think that this is the best detail I have seen come out of the Poor-boys stable. Very wet looking finish which is supplemented by a fantastic colour. The bonnet and roof reflection shots are simply jaw-droppingly good.

Fantastic work.

Hi Don

Very impressed with this project - Can you please tell this Newbie what the distilled water is used for ? Thanks

RE: Laguna Seca Blue - a Poor-Boys detail - Carn - 29-09-2008 10:26 AM

Pad prep would be my guess but Don can confirm Wink

RE: Laguna Seca Blue - a Poor-Boys detail - MeTsU - 29-09-2008 10:28 AM

Used to prime the pad. Also helps in reducing spotting. Bluebiggrin But Don can confirm...

Ahh, I see Carn posted. Bluebiggrin

Thanks man, as stated by Metsu and Carn, the distilled water is used to prep the buffing pad.

I also use it occasionally while buffing, just to keep the pad nice and moist, Menzerna is a water based polish so this works very well.

Great work Don!
Loving the reflection shots on that black roof, is it glass?
