Audi RS4 - Black - done by Vincent - Vincent - 05-08-2010 09:16 AM

So next up is the amazing RS4... this is a car I have always wanted to do as it is def one of my favourite cars.
Powered by a Lamborghini V8 motor this thing really hauls.
The sound the eminates from the engine and exhausts gives one goose flesh. Def a feather in my cap of Detailing.

While I was 'buffing' the Corsa the Audi got a wash by one of the guys working at the dealership. so I got stuck in with Claying... which was badly needed. Plenty of Industrial Fallout on the car. Megs aggressive plus M34 Final inspection as lube.

1st stage - Menz SIP plus CSS orange Pad - Zenith Technique
2nd stage - Megs M80 Speed Glaze plus Megs Yellow polishing pad
3rd stage - PoorBoys BlackHole Glaze plus Megs Black finishing pad
4th stage - Wolfgang Deep Gloss sealant plus Megs Black finishing pad

I will let the pics tell the rest of the story

1st a few befores

One Direct Before and After done on the Bonnet. Bonnet was a really bad spot for deep swirls and scratches.

Bloody impressive work, Vincent!

How long does it take to develop such skill?

RE: Audi RS4 - Black - done by Vincent - Vincent - 05-08-2010 09:40 AM

Hi PrevanP, well I think it boils down to passion mainly. I think the more you like what you do the better your results will be. I find I really try to read up as much as i can about different techniques and try them out as much as I can. I also have tried numerous products and Pads etc... So as long as you have a teachable spirit and you are always willing to learn and adapt then I think you will be successful.
I have been doing this 'Detailing' for about 1.5 years now and I am still light years behind the top guys. I have much to learn and am enjoying every minute of my learning experience.

Nicely done Vincent Thumb

RS4 is still one of the nicest sounding 'big' sedans on the road Drool

Another top notch job Vincent.

It's just such a pity that what could be an absolutely stunning finish is ruined a bit by the amount of orange peel evident.

Must agree with Kripstoe - I'd love one of those in my driveway. It's the one car that I have driven that has left vivid memories in my mind.

Very cool and excellent work on those swirls. I wouldn't mind doing it for a living, if only we had a decent market for the service in SA

Awesome monster of a car ... Awesome Detailing !!!

Also good to note that some dealerships are using "proper" detailers before handing vehicle to the new owner .... Clap
