RE: Brinkmann MaxFire Dual Xenon GB *Update* - Carn - 16-10-2008 11:22 AM For us (Mobile-Image) it will cut down on us moving the cars in and out of the sun to check our correction progress. Whilst builders lights help show up swirling and scratches I think the Brinkmann is better suited to showing not only the swirls/scratches but also any holograms left by the buffing process ![]() Also you don't look like a complete looney in the complex with builders lights and stuffs surrounding a car ![]() RE: Brinkmann MaxFire Dual Xenon GB *Update* - whattingh - 16-10-2008 11:29 AM Ok. I just thought of a idea. I going to see if one and get one of these 1million cp spotlights( their around R120) and then find a xenon replacement bulb. I know my spotlight uses a H3 6v 100w halogen bulb so there is a good chance to get a xenon. RE: Brinkmann MaxFire Dual Xenon GB *Update* - freerider - 16-10-2008 11:51 AM You might get close, but its not going to be a true xenon, merely a halogen filled with xenon gas, and the outer painted blue. The true xenon needs a ballast etc RE: Brinkmann MaxFire Dual Xenon GB *Update* - crazygolfer - 16-10-2008 11:56 AM (16-10-2008 11:29 AM)whattingh Wrote: Ok. I just thought of a idea. You need a light that is simialr in temperature to daylight (5700K I think) that is bright enough to highlight flaws but not so bright that it bleaches them out and you can't see them. I have seen LED torches used to good effect before, I have some pics I will host and share with you shortly of them in action ![]() RE: Brinkmann MaxFire Dual Xenon GB *Update* - whattingh - 16-10-2008 01:12 PM Found this online shop: http://www.extremeshop.co.za/ under the illumination tab there is a lot of types of flash/spotlights. RE: Brinkmann MaxFire Dual Xenon GB *Update* - Carn - 02-06-2009 10:41 PM Okidoki....Sean has suggested we look at firing up this GB again considering the current low exchange rate (R8/$1). I will send off some e-mails again and confirm some shipping charges and current prices. In the meantime those interested please add your name to the list, I think 10 would be required to make this viable ![]() RE: Brinkmann MaxFire Dual Xenon GB *Update* - Woodie - 03-06-2009 07:09 AM David - not sure if you wanted to use the previous list or start a new one. Either way, I'm in. RE: Brinkmann MaxFire Dual Xenon GB *Update* - MeTsU - 03-06-2009 07:20 AM I'm kind-a keen. Obviously depending on price, but I should first get myself into action and start detailing properly. Still faffing around and not committing to my hobbie. :-( RE: Brinkmann MaxFire Dual Xenon GB *Update* - calypso - 03-06-2009 06:26 PM Ill let you know after I get the bill for the last service. Oh and btw the Black wow is in the post. RE: Brinkmann MaxFire Dual Xenon GB *Update* - Carn - 03-06-2009 06:40 PM Seeing as the list is quite old I suggest we start a new one rather. Pricing should still be around the R400 mark if the exchange rate holds ![]() 1.) Carn 2.) Woodie6250 3.) MeTsU (Tentative) 4.) 5.) 6.) 7.) 8.) 9.) 10.) RE: Brinkmann MaxFire Dual Xenon GB *Update* - Carn - 12-07-2009 12:40 AM My only concern with Maxfire, is the various posts on intl forums regarding the hit and miss quality of the battery. A few guys have reported getting Maxfires that work and then don't charge, or don't charge out of the box. I will do some more digging and see what we come up with, still need to confirm pricing as well ![]() |
